What is Drupal?

Here's my recently created introduction to Drupal. This is mostly for developers, but it may be of interest to others who would like a better insight into the inner workings of Drupal. In this series, I make the case that Drupal can be well understood by thinking about its five main properties:

  • a resource manager (files, and the database)
  • a configuration manager
  • a content manager
  • a state change machine (the code)
  • a rapid application development tool

This series basically contains the introduction I wish I'd had when I started out with Drupal.
